FAQ

QWhen will I receive my order?
AFor orders placed before 5pm Monday to Friday, the item(s) will be dispatched that day. Typical delivery times are:
  • Mainland UK* - Next working day(Pre 9am/10am/12Noon services available at an additional cost)
  • Rest of UK, Europe & EU - 2-4 working days
  • Rest of World - 7-14 working days
  • *Some Scottish postcodes will be delivered as Rest of UK

QWhat is the difference between ordering a screen from Require IT and ordering direct from the manufacturer?
AThe only difference is the lower price you will get from Require IT. The quality is the same. All our screens are brand new and come with a full warranty.
QCan I collect the item?
ACertainly! You can collect from our warehouse at 12A Sterling Complex, Farthing Road Industrial Estate, Ipswich IP1 5AP between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
QDo you offer Trade prices?
AFor companies in the IT industry we offer trade prices for both regular and volume orders. Email customerservice@requireit.co.uk, alternatively, Skype us at requireitltd.
QWill the screen I receive be exactly the same as the original one?
AWe supply 100% compatible screens. Require IT reserves the right to supply alternative part numbers to those advertised, but will only substitute newer or better revisions that are assured to work as well as the original. Some part numbers on older screens have now been out of production for some years, but they are included on our advertising material to enable clients to identify the correct part.
QWill my new screen be difficult to fit?
AReplacement screens are not hard to fit and we are happy to include a User Guide (free of charge) with your order, if requested.
QI don't feel confident about fitting my own replacement screen
ARequire IT offers a fitting service for UK customers at a cost of £20 Sterling in addition to the cost of the replacement screen. There are two options:
  • By Post - send your machine to us and we will fit the replacement screen and return your machine within two working days. There is an additional charge of £15 Sterling to cover return shipping.
  • Bring your machine to our Workshop - call us in advance to book a time slot. Your machine will be ready to collect within 60 minutes.
QWhat happens if I am out when my order is delivered?
AOur courier will put a card through your letterbox giving the phone number of your local depot. You call them to arrange a convenient time for redelivery or collection.
QDo your screens come with a Warranty?
AWe provide a full Warranty so that you can order with confidence. In addition, for £4.99 you can extend this to 24 months.
QWhere do you deliver to?
AWe only use reputable couriers - Royal Mail, FedEx, UPS, so we deliver worldwide.
QI can't find the screen I require.

QWhat methods of payment do you accept?
AWe are very flexible and offer a variety of payment options. These include Paypal, credit/debit cards, cheques, etc. For more detailed information please look at our Products page.
QWill I get a User Guide for the screen I am ordering?
AReplacement screens are not hard to fit and we are happy to include a User Guide (free of charge) with your order, if requested.
QWhat happens if the goods are damaged in transit?
AAll our products are despatched in brand new, purpose made packaging and damage is rare. However, any item damaged in transit will be replaced if the damage is reported to us within 24 hours of receipt. Please supply photos of the damage and ensure that the goods are signed for as damaged. In addition, please retain the original packaging and the damaged goods until advised otherwise by Require IT.
QDoes my replacement screen include the plastics, inverter and cable?
ANo, it will just be the panel with the backlight fitted. You will need to retain all cables, etc, from your broken screen. Some Dell screens are supplied with inverter.
QCan I upgrade the resolution of my laptop screen?
AWe don't recommend that you upgrade the resolution of your screen. It is not a straightforward procedure due to compatibility issues. In all but very rare instances, your machine will not support a change in resolution without an upgrade to the video cable and the motherboard or system board.
QHow do I know which version of iPad or iPhone I have?
AOn the back of every iPad and iPhone, in very small type under the logo is a number beginning with an "A". Google this to find out which version you have.
